512 How did the Our Father come about?
The Our Father came about at the request of one of Jesus; disciples, who saw his Master praying and wanted to learn from Jesus himself how to pray correctly. 477
(Jesus) was praying in a certain place, and when he ceased,
one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John taught his
disciples.” Luke 11:1
